She was a bit reluctant when mommy trying to set her pigtails but after a while she kinda like it. Well another sign that our little princess is going up more like a little lady.

Pretty hair, pretty clothes, pretty shoes, pretty nails and etc etc etc.

Splashing at home

The kids had a splashing time last weekend holiday at home with a inflatable pool. This was our first time using the inflatable pool. It was a gift from Uncle Philip and Aunt Hannah to the kids.

The weather was superb and ideal for a wet activities that day. Both Ivan and Reanne didn't take long or I should said within seconds they got themselves totally wet. For Reanne this is the first time seeing her totally brushing aside her fear of dipping into water. She was so immerse in the pool. Few occassion we had tried to get Reanne into the beach and waterfall stream, but she just don't want to try it out. Ivan without saying was having a total splash. Nice to see them enjoying themselves so freely.

The pool water was later being used to wash my car. Not a total waste.

Home made superheros

Ivan and Reanne were made to be instant superheros by mommy's home made costume. A mask and a cape.

Both are happy to be clothed as one. Aren't all of us like too.

Christmas Tree 2009

This year we have the opportunity to bring out the family Christmas tree and setup it after absent for one year. Last year we chose not to put it up concern it would be hazardous for Reanne and Sarah whom are still less than one year old then. Well this year is different.....they will love it.

We used more soft toys to deco the tree this time. Less the regular ornaments....for safety reason. And also less the used of deco lights.

Well everybody here an early wish of Blessed Christmas to you all!

Having fun with paper plane

Just like to share some of the things parents (especially father) can do to have fun with you own children - by an inexpensive ways. Why not try paper plane making?

It's actually quite interesting as it promote children creativity as well as their imagination. For us might have been an usual things but to them seeing a plain paper being turn into a mini plane take can flies is awesome!

Here is some of the model I have made and its fantastic.....even I enjoy it (I know some of you will say reliving my deprive childhood period). Have fun!!!

My dental check up

I have recently done my annual dental check up with my teeth being clean up. 3 of my teeth were filled using amalgam (dental amalgam contains elemental mercury combined with other metals such as silver, copper, tin and zinc to form a safe, stable alloy). The bad news was that doctor said one of my tooth is recommended to do crowning as it cannot be further filled (pretty sad to know that). Didn't proceed with the doctor recommendation as crowning cost about RM400 (way off my dental budget). Gotto plan for it next year already.

Benefit of regular check ups and cleanings can prevent general health problems as well as provide you with good oral hygiene.

1. To Prevent Oral Cancer
According to The Oral Cancer Foundation, someone dies from oral cancer, every hour of every day in the United States alone. When you have your dental cleaning, your dentist is also screening you for oral cancer, which is highly curable if diagnosed early.

2. To Prevent Gum Disease
Gum disease is an infection in the gum tissues and bone that keep your teeth in place and is one of the leading causes of adult tooth loss. If diagnosed early, it can be treated and reversed. If treatment is not received, a more serious and advanced stage of gum disease may follow. Regular dental cleanings and check ups, flossing daily and brushing twice a day are key factors in preventing gum disease.

3. To Help Maintain Good Physical Health
Recent studies have linked heart attacks and strokes to gum disease, resulting from poor oral hygiene. A dental cleaning every 6 months helps to keep your teeth and gums healthy and could possibly reduce your risk of heart disease and strokes.

4. To Keep Your Teeth
Since gum disease is one of the leading causes of tooth loss in adults, regular dental check ups and cleanings, brushing and flossing are vital to keeping as many teeth as you can. Keeping your teeth means better chewing function and ultimately, better health.

5. To Detect Dental Problems Early
Your dentist and hygienist will be able to detect any early signs of problems with your teeth or gums. Early detection of cavities, broken fillings and gum disease are easily treatable. If these problems go untreated, root canals, gum surgery and removal of teeth could become the only treatment options available.

6. To Maintain Good Oral Health
Your dental hygienist will help to ensure that you are maintaining your good oral health by visual examination and comparing your previous dental check ups. If you are falling off track with your oral hygiene he / she will help put you back on the right path.

7. To Use Your Dental Insurance Plan
Dental insurance plans usually pay for all or most of the cost of dental cleanings and check ups every six months. Take advantage of this and save a lot of money in the long run by avoiding costly dental procedures that can result from poor oral hygiene.

8. To Create a Treatment Plan
If your dentist diagnoses any problems in your mouth, he /she will most likely give you a treatment plan. This treatment plan should have the cost of each procedure that you will need, so that you can discuss financial arrangements with the front office.

9. To Have a Bright and White Smile
Your dental hygienist can remove most tobacco, coffee and tea stains. During your cleaning, your hygienist will also polish your teeth to a beautiful shine. The result? A whiter and brighter smile!

10. To Prevent Bad Breath
Dental studies show that about 85 percent of people with persistent bad breath, also known as halitosis have a dental problem that is to blame. Good oral hygiene is essential in preventing bad breath. Regular check ups and cleanings are the best way to make sure that you are maintaining good oral hygiene.

Our street is not safe at all now

A 52 year old housewife was hit on head from the back by a robber while walking along a busy Sungai Besi Expressway. The weapon was a hammer and the robber was eyeing on the housewife handbag. Fortunately there was no serious injury but only two stitches on the skull. It was a life threatening experience.

65 year old man and his 54 year old wife was attacked by 3 men during a robbery attempt in Ampang.

The news above is not reflecting a very good condition about our city street nowadays. In fact it is getting worst as senior citizen now are becoming the favorite target group.

Be of concern and very concern so much so alert of our surrounding when we are on the street.
