Mid Nite Oil

I took this picture of Reanne and myself while both of us is trying to get each other to sleep. More like me trying to get Reanne to sleep. It was almost 2.00am in the wee morning where most people already in 'REM' (rapid eyes movement) sleep a.k.a deep sound sleep. But she was well alert with eyes open wide. Mummy was way too tired and fast asleep.

Finally she doze off about 2.00am plus. Phew.

Talking about burning mid nite oil.

To drink or not to drink

Lately Reanne's milk consumption has been a concerning issue for both of us. She is not drinking as much as we expected especially comparing to her younger cousin sister Sarah. She don't seem to suck well from the bottle which either she haven't master the bottle sucking technique or still prefer direct breast feed. We even have try with other brand's bottle teat. Headache.

We suspect partly because mummy has resume works and she use to be directly breast fed. But our patient have run tin. Yesterday we decided to get our regular paediatrician Dr. Khoo to check on Reanne whether any thing affecting throat. I was just recovered from bad sore throat but mummy just has it. Everything check out to be fine. Doctor says possible of transition period where mummy goes to work and it is quite normal since a lot other parents also complaint the same issue. Doctor propose to find bottle teat that is as similar to natural nipple. Gotto go searching then.

Overall Reanne is just fine. Active and also very interactive with people around her. Her vocal command are getting more and louder. Oh Lord, please make sure Reanne's growth developments are all well and according to Your plan. Protect and cover her with the blood of Jesus.

Going Three

Today our dear baby girl is already 3 months old! Funny things is that she as though has been with us much longer then that. It has been a fascinating and challenging time last 90 days since Reanne was born.

Throughout this few short months, she has experience and seen quite a lot of things. She enjoyed her first Chinese New Year (Reanne was born on the 9th day of CNY), received her first Ang Pow, witnessed her first nation Election (Malaysia 12th election), celebrate her first Easter, enjoyed her first outstation vacation (at Kuantan) and celebrated first Mother's Day with mummy dearest. She even got promoted as older cousin sister when her younger cousin sister Sarah was born. (Click here to see photos of them together by Rachel). It is really a remarkable time for her and of course for us as parents as well.

Reanne has been really a blessing to both of us from the beginning. God has generously bless us with one son and one daughter. Chinese says it is a phrase of completeness when you has children of both opposite sex. We want to thank and honour God for His favour and love for us.
