Getting the extra pound

Today Reanne got her Chicken pox jab as part of her regular vaccination trip to our pediatrician.

Being 1 year and 1 month old, her weight was quite low at 8.5 kg. This makes her look smaller than her counterparts. Health wise, Reanne is doing fine overall. Her appetite is also improving lately as her drink more milk and eats porridge twice a day. It seems everything is fine with her.

But I don't seem able to put my mind aside about her weight. Is she eating enough for her body to develop? Can we parents do something about it? Currently Reanne still drinks breast milk and alternately milk formula daily. Our doctor suggested to let Reanne drink a better milk formula that comes with extra supplements. Sound logical. I want to give Reanne a try on it to help her to at least have a nominal healthy weight. At the same time to improve her appetite.

Lower EPF dividend for 2008

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Board today, with the approval of the Minister of Finance, has declared a dividend rate of 4.50 per cent for 2008. 2007 dividend was 5.8 percent. The lower dividend rate compared to that of 2007 is due to the increase in investment provisioning resulting from the sharp decline in global equity prices brought about by the worldwide financial crisis.

Despite the financial meltdown, the EPF recorded the highest ever earnings of RM20 billion in gross income for 2008. This represented an increase of 9.36 per cent over the previous year’s gross income of RM18.29 billion.

Dividends will be credited to members’ accounts on 23 March 2009.

MPH Stock Clearance

I definitely don't want to miss this opportunity to expand my books collection this year. But neither I wan to caught in the crowd. Need to make it this week days somehow.

Ivan's music class

Much to our delight after two and half months, Ivan have been progressing well in his music lesson at Yamaha. Last Saturday, Ivan's teacher commented that he has shown a lot of improvement participating in the class lesson. Pei also mentioned that Ivan is less clingy to her during the lesson. I am quite relief to hear this feedback. Earlier we were worried as he don't want to interact and anticipate with other childrens and the music teacher.

Another three more months Ivan will be graduating his MusicKid foundation course. Hope he will continue to benefit from the on-going lesson. Most important the social factor of it where interaction with his peers and other adults will too benefit in his growth.

We are looking forward for the graduation day which is on this coming June. Before that Pei gotto make a costume for him to participate in the graduation group presentation.

2008 Tax Submission

Inland Revenue Board (IRB) informed that this year there will be no issuance of Form 2008 for BE, B, P and E from their office to individual. Instead the e-Form 2008 is available from 1st March 2009 onwards for taxpayer to start filling in their submission via e-Filling.

The deadlines for form submission are as follows:-
Form BE 30 April 2009
Form B 30 June 2009

After checking IRB website, the e-Form was indeed readied. Well gotto prepare, compile and submit my form by the end March 2009 if all attachments is available. I received my EA form last week from my employer.

Munchy, munchy

Our little girl is busy munching things around lately thanks to the her four little front teethes that have emerged out. She now enjoys more when biting baby biscuits.....not to mention all other things.

Reanne is walking already!

Finally Reanne has pulled herself together to do the walk of faith! Yes, she is roaming free now with her two legs. A marvelous milestone in her 1 year mark. That makes one more toddler roaming in the house together with cousin sister Sarah.
