New password-stealing virus targets Facebook

Hackers have flooded the Internet with virus-tainted spam that targets Facebook’s estimated 400 million users in an effort to steal banking passwords and gather other sensitive information.

The emails tell recipients that the passwords on their Facebook accounts have been reset, urging them to click on an attachment to obtain new login credentials, according to anti-virus software maker McAfee Inc.

If the attachment is opened, it downloads several types of malicious software, including a program that steals passwords, McAfee said yesterday.

The email’s subject line says “Facebook password reset confirmation customer support.

It's time we change our password accordingly.

Women a nastier driver?

According to Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation, Women drivers are getting more aggressive than their male counterparts. They said based on the number of traffic summonses issued and court cases against women, a trend of aggressive driving has emerged among the fairer sex. How interesting.

One thing I do notice more women are driving bigger and nicer car on KL roads.

Yup it's Friday

A woman had just returned to her home from an evening of church services, when she was startled by an intruder... She caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables and yelled: 'Stop! Acts 2:38!' (meaning:- Repent and be Baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ , so that your sins may be forgiven.)

The burglar stopped in his tracks. The woman calmly called the police and explained what she had done.

As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the burglar:
'Why did you just stand there? All the old lady did was yell a scripture at you.'

'Scripture?' replied the burglar.. 'She said she had an Ax and Two 38s!'

God work's in wonderful ways. So remember and memorize your scripture.

Photo shooting at KL Railway Station

This is something that I wanted to do but have not been doing for quite some time now.......family photo shooting.
Last Sunday we stop by KL Railway Station for a short session. It was somewhat a re-visit as Pei and I used to take commuter at the station many years ago.
We managed to enjoy ourselves there as the surrounding was pretty peaceful even with the passing by commuters and trains. The kids did well modelling for their daddy to capture some good photos for memories. An amateur model in the making.

I am still using my old faithfull Canon S3-IS Powershot but hungry for a DLSR! A luxury which I gotta wait. Enjoy the photos.

Alarming rise in number of diabetics in Malaysia

The number of diabetics in the country has increased by almost 80 percent in the last 10 years from 1996-2006 to 1.4 million adults above the age of 30.

Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican said what was alarming was that almost 36 percent of them were undiagnosed, resulting in complications later that required more intensive medical care, putting great strain on the existing overstretched health services. He said lifestyle-related changes were the main factors influencing the increase of diabetes in the country. He said lifestyle modifications like weight loss, changes in diet and increased physical activity would greatly help in controlling the disease.

Change of lifestyle is definitely the main factor to minimise the risk of one selves from developing/having such disease. Thats remind me to cut down my ongoing 'teh tarik' and 'kopi'. Well one more item included in my 2010 to do list. Besides health reason, the recent increase of sugar prices is also a deterrent. 'Tak Nak' sugar!
